Sexy Time!

borat Pictures, Images and Photos

Have you ever heard a phrase that just sticks?

You know, you then you repeat it and it becomes almost a daily thing said?

Yes, that is Borat and for the last few days, the Borat saying "Sexy Time" has been a thing said between my husband and I.

It's super funny, silly and makes us laugh too!

Is there something catchy that you say from a movie that you have found that is super funny but also adds a little cuteness to your relationship?

Six Word Saturday!

{My Aunt with Santa, my husband}

Worried About My Aunt In Hawaii!

With the earthquake in Chile and the tsunami warnings for Hawaii, it really is causing concern. My mom called my aunt (that's her sister) and the line was busy. She also called my grandpa who lives out here but his line was busy also which makes me think the two are on the phone together. I hope but I also hope that my aunt is getting out of harms way too. You see, she lives on the island of Oahu right at the base of Diamond Head. Not far from the beach at all. So I'm sure you can imagine my concern. The news are saying the waves are measured up to 8 ft which doesn't concern me fort where she is but that's just all speculation too. I just assume she go inland and avoid the whole thing all together until it's safe.

Fabulous Foto Friday!

It's that time again.....

Hosted by RockYouPhotos.com

Here are a few pictures from our Disneyland trip last weekend. They're not the greatest quality as I used my phone the whole time. I didn't bring my regular little camera. I need to get new batteries for it. I also don't dare bring my Canon cause I like my roller coasters and I'm not about to risk taking it on one of those rides.

So, without further adu....

Hope you all have a FABulous weekend!

Toy Story 3 Pictures, Images and Photos

Which Ride Shall We Ride First??

I personally want to ride Indiana Jones first since that one is usually one of the longest but for some odd reason, my child has decided that she wants to go on Nemo, even though she has said "I was bored" in the past. So, I guess it all depends on what we feel like once we get there. Heck, we never even ask my husband what ride he wants to ride first....ever. Poor guy! Well, let me just ask him real quick.....

His response was "Dumbo." I looked at him and said "I'm gonna put that" and he said "I really don't care. I just want to go on Toy Story." So, I guess there you have it. It's still up in the air at this time.

Fabulous Foto Friday

Guess What?

You guessed it!

I forgot about....

”ourlifesjourney”Hosted by RockYouPhotos.com

Silly me! I got so wrapped up in creating my own website that I completely forgot to get this weeks Fabulous Foto Friday up.

To be honest, I haven't done much of really anything else on the computer BUT my website. I guess you can say I've went a little gung-ho on it....which is a good thing! That way I will get it completed quicker and it will be done the way I want it to be.

So, since I haven't gotten any pictures ready for you, I will share this picture from last year.....

Since of course this (Disneyland, if you couldn't tell) is where we will be driving to after work today and spending tomorrow and Sunday!!!

Whatever you do this weekend, be safe and have a great one!!

New Things Are Coming

{The photo above is just a sneak peak of what the website looks like!}

With the new year, I made some goals for myself.

One was to start my own photography business.

Well, I am in the process and I am so excited!! I have been working on getting my own website up and running. It has been a very tedious process but all the hard work is paying off and I am so thrilled. I can't stop admiring it..lol!

One thing I will also be working on is making my own button for my website to be displayed her on my blog. I know I can do it as I have already made my other two there on the right.

I enjoy being hands on with this sort of thing and not having anyone's help. I'm putting my own touches on it and it also makes me feel like I've accomplished something when it's all done.

I'm hoping my website should be up and running by next week. There's just little things that I need to touch up here and there. I am so very excited to share it with all of you too!

I guess I spoke too soon...

This past weekend I was making my "comment" rounds. As I was bouncing from blog to blog, I was noticing how this season's flu was making it's own rounds. So what did I do? While commenting on one of the many blogs, I made the mistake of leaving one comment, referring to the flu, that said "Fortunately, it hasn't made it's way here (knock on wood)."

Yep, that's right. It was Valentine's Day! The day I was anticipating to be a good day. All in all, it was except for one minor detail.....

I got the flu!

Can we just say, there is nothing romantic about a sick wifey.

Believe me, I attempted at feeling better by getting the nerve up to head to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. I ordered and ate barely any of my dinner until of course, my daughter bought "moi" a Tiramisu Cheesecake. Oh. Yes. She. Did! With her own money, no less!! I of course had to share it cause there was no way I was about to eat that 789 calorie decadent dessert all by myself and not be worried about not making it home in one piece. Believe me, the few bites I had were simply heaven!

Yesterday though, I made it to work, not feeling 100% but as the day went on, I started to feel a little better. Thank goodness!

Then at 3:50am this morning I woke up to a little someone saying "Mommy, my stomach hurts" as she rushes to the bathroom. That's right, it has moved on from me to my little kiddo. Only thing is, I never actually got "sick" whereas that's all my daughter was doing this whole morning every half hour. Poor thing.

Then, to make things better for her, I grabbed my camera just so that I could snap this picture of her just to share with all of you :O)

I think maybe next time I'll keep my big mouth shut.

Can't Stop Laughing About This Picture!

I took this picture just messing around and as soon as I got done, I previewed it and couldn't stop laughing! The look on my dog's face is so hilarious, he kind of looks like "DUH!!" Nevermind the fact I have no makeup on. I just can't get past that face......the dog's, that is!! LOL

Winter Wonderland Disaster

Snow is beautiful! It makes for beautiful pictures!

It can even be fun to play in, with the right gear.

My story is about snow, just not in the fun and beautiful sense of the word.

It was over 9 yrs ago. Honestly, I don't remember the year, I just know it was sometime before I got married which was 8 1/2 yrs ago.

It was my husband (fiance at the time), me and my husband's cousin, Eric. The three of us had decided to drive up to Reno for the weekend. We had purchased cables ahead of time knowing that it was going to be snowing in the Sierras.

Once we got to the area where chains were required, we paid one of the many guys out there to put them on for us, then we were on our way. Very slowly, might I add. My husband had never driven in snow before so needless to say, he was a little nervous. He drove slow and cautious too.
As we were driving, we had gotten to a spot where we were okay to take them off. We pulled over and my husband got out and what did he discover? The driver side back tire was pretty much destroyed. We look and we didn't have a good spare tire either. Great! It was still snowing lightly where we were. We were in the middle of nowhere. We did notice that we were right by an on ramp though. Thinking there was some hope for us.

We get out to walk down to see what the on ramp lead us to. Let me tell you though, I wasn't dressed for this occasion at all. I had Keds on. You know, those shoes made with fabric? Snow and fabric just doesn't go together very well.

By the time I slipped on my butt on the frozen, wet snow to walk down with the guys to find nothing to help us and got back to the truck, I was merely a frozen icicle. My feet were so frozen, I thought perhaps by the time we got to civilization, I would have to amputate my feet.
(Nah, just a bit exaggerated)

We got back in the truck and found ourselves turning the truck on and off just to keep warm cause we were stuck there for 2 whole hours as cars drove by us on both sides of the freeway. We even put "HELP" on the windshield hoping someone on the other side of the freeway would stop. One car did stop from our side. They asked if we needed help. We asked if they could just call a tow truck for us. They said they would and went on. A while later in this 2 hour experience, a CHP saw us from the other side and came around and got help for us.

A tow truck finally came. We got to civilization to get a new tire for the truck and we were on our way.

The End.......

Nah, it's not over yet!

After our trip to Reno, we decided to head to Tahoe. Yes, in the snow......again. However, we didn't need chains or cables this time.

As we were driving this windy section of the highway, we see a car coming around a bend heading right towards us. The car must have hit a slippery spot and no matter which way they turned the wheel, they were coming right for us. We didn't want to make any drastic maneuvers by either speeding up or hitting the breaks so we just kept our pace and braced ourselves.

The car came within inches of us and the car behind us and ended up hitting the embankment.

They were okay. I guess. I assume. Okay, that just sounds terrible that we didn't even stop for them. It seemed like it was a soft impact though. No big deal.....hopefully.

After that incident, we were so ready to get home.....safely.

Make a Difference Monday

Last week I vowed that I would take time out each week and do something nice and unexpected for someone and then report back today, Monday.

Honestly though, this week was really hard cause I didn't do much. I didn't go through any fast food places, I didn't see any homeless people on the side of the road to spare some change. I didn't really do anything. It was rainy out so I decided to stay in.

Here it is Monday and nothing to show for myself. Honestly though, as I think about it, it's not about what I have to show but about who I've helped. I didn't realize it was going to be so hard to find someone to help.

Okay, so maybe I've held a door open or kept the elevator open for a few people and they were very happy and smiled and said thank you or we took over some food for our friend's Super Bowl party but I was hoping to have done more.

I'm wanting to help someone that needs it. I do however like the idea of paying for someones coffee in the Starbucks drive-thru though. That's an honest free gift that doesn't get a thank you back but you feel good about it.

I just think maybe I need to try harder this week. In fact, I do have an idea of something that I could do. I'll save that for next week's post. It's a good one. {*hint* has to do with my friend's that were in the motorcycle accident last Sept.} Plus, it's long overdue and about time I did do this. I guess I better get on the ball!
Have you done anything nice for someone this week? I'd like to hear. :O)

Let the party begin...

Yep, I didn't even know who was playing in the Super Bowl until today.

However, we are going to a friend's house for a Super Bowl Party cause my husband is all excited about it. He's there to support the Saint's.

I guess you can say I'm excited too. I'm there to support the commercials and the food!!

Let the party begin!!

Trying To Find My Happy Place!

I could elaborate on this in much detail but I choose not too. It's just all negative and who wants to hear negative on your weekend? NOT ME!

Fabulous Foto Friday!

It's Friday!! You know what that means?

”ourlifesjourney”Hosted by RockYouPhotos.com

This week I didn't really get too much time to take some good photos and then yesterday when I had decided to finally get out there, I looked outside and it was raining. Go figure, right?!

So this week, I will grace you with my presence. Don't you just feel lucky?! ;O)

Oh, and because of the lack of photos that I took this week, I was feeling the pressure of trying to get creative for you guys, good or bad......in the house. Honestly though, it bore me to death. I personally like to be outside taking pictures.

So, this is what I came up with. My daughter has this really awesome pop-up book of fairies. It's really a neat book and so I thought I would share a couple of the pages with you.

Have a FABulous weekend and hope to see you again next week. I promise to have something better. Pinky Promise! :o)

Dear Charlie Brown...

This week over at Mama Kat's, she has some easy and yet challenging prompts. Originally I had chosen to do either #1 or #2 but my daughter had insisted that I do #3...

3.) Write an open later (I'm assuming this should have said letter, not later) to a cartoon character.

I was nervous. I don't usually do one of the "thinking" ones where I have to put much thought and creativity into it. I never said I was a writer. I just write for fun.

As the thought kept crossing my mind on this prompt and my daughter kept harassing me to write to Spongebob as I continually refused, a light bulb went off.

"I know, I'll write to Charlie Brown!"

I've been wanting to talk to good ol' Chuck for quite some time now, so with that said, here's my letter. :O)

~~~
Charlie Brown Pictures, Images and Photos
Dear Charlie Brown,
I see you all the time looking so sad and people making fun of you and not being so nice. It makes me sad to see you trying to make friends with those otherwise bratty kids, and you know what? Who needs them?!
One, you have Linus. He's always been quite a good friend, sucking his thumb or not. Kind of cute, if you ask me. He seems to be a wise little kid too.
As for that Lucy, she sure could use a good talking to. Let me know if she ever gives you a bad time again, which we know she will, cause I've got your back, little buddy! Oh, and don't play football with her anymore. You know she has no intentions of letting you kick the ball.
As for that little red hair girl. Forget her! You can do so much better. She hasn't proven herself very nice to you and you're such a sweet little guy. Like that time you went to the party. How the heck could she not see you were there? I saw you! Next time I'll invite you to one of my parties. We'll show them!
As for Snoopy, I'm sorry but he's just one hip little doggy! He is so hilarious! He just needs a little obedience. I'll help you with that. At least I'll try. My own dog has actually become quite the pain himself. Constantly begging for cookies and not giving up until he gets one. So again, I'll try my best with this one. Otherwise, just look at it as this.....you have a cool dog!
One last thing, since Valentine's is coming and I know you're always checking your mailbox, I thought I would make sure you got a couple Valentine's cards this year.
This one is from yours truly...
and because my daughter loves to give Valentine's out to her friends, and yes, she considers you one of her friends, here is a card from her....
So, what I'm trying to say is, would you like to be my friend? I would be honored to have a cool little hip dude of a friend like you!
