My daughter goes to bed at 8pm and she just couldn't go to sleep last night. By 10:45p, she was still awake and she was getting restless. She said she was sad and mad at herself cause she tried everything to fall asleep and it just wasn't working for her. Poor baby!! I explained to her that these things happen and that it's not her fault. I was getting worried for her cause today was the first day back at school after having two weeks off and I wanted her to be well rested. It wasn't looking likely at this point so I asked my hubby "Can I just bring her in here? She seems to always be able to fall right to sleep when she's in here." He said "If you think it'll work". So, I went in her room and told her to come on in our bed. Sure enough, 15-20 minutes later she was out. However, my hubby and I slept like crap. I don't know about my hubby but I kept getting legs flinging all over me throughout the night. I knew I should have put her in her own bed once she fell asleep but I was just afraid she would wake up after it taking her so long to fall asleep. Well, needless to say, I'm extremely BEAT today!!
So I'm sure you can imagine how it made me feel to wake up to Three Bay B Chicks awarding me this lovely Friends Award!! Thank you so much Francesca!! It brightened my day! ;o) Now I just need something to wake me up :o)

My daughter was the exact same way, I love these vacation weeks, but I hate getting back into the swing of things.

I feel so loved! :) Thanks chica! :) I can totally sympathize with the non sleeping kid thing. My boys went to bed around 7pm last night (way too early, but they hadn't napped) then woke up around 10pm. Were up until 3am. I was MISERABLE! Hopefully an earlier bed time tonight - even though it's 9am and they're awake. :/ lol Hope your daughter had no trouble sleeping tonight! :)

Please excuse my children's absence on yesterday. The entire family overslept including the dog.
It won't happen again. I promise.
P.S We don't have a dog, I just thought it sounded better.
