Seriously!

While in Vegas this past weekend, we came across this super cute store.

I mean, I had seen pictures and ads like this...

But I didn't realize how super cute the lollipops were.

Seriously!

Look how pretty, sparkly and how fun these look!

I love all things sparkly!

I do!

Sure, it's a little more than I want to spend for a lollipop ($22.50 or $25 online) but you get to keep the stem and just replace the lollipop when you're done.

I know......Sweet!!

No, I didn't get one this time but I did get this for my daughter but in hot pink.

What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas!

With as many times as we have been to Vegas, there was bound to be some stories I could share, right?! Of course!

So, I have decided to share one. Let's get started now, shall we....

One word........E-Brake! When we have rented cars in the past, we get playful with them. In Vegas, we do it all the time. When we're in the parking garages, we will be coming up to another car and pull the e-brake and then bust up laughing. With it being in the parking garage, the screech echos so it sounds louder than ever. It's so funny but I'm sure the cars in front of us didn't appreciate the humor in it.

Disclaimer: We don't do this anymore!!! This was something we did when we were younger!!

So, one time we were driving down Tropicana Blvd and I was driving, as always. Yes, I'm the one that is driving all the time when we are doing these fun little destructive things. Anyways, while we were driving, we spotted a target. Some guy walking down the street and as we got right up on him, we pulled the e-brake and made such a loud screech and you should have seen this guy jump. We scared this poor guy. He probably thought a car was seriously going to hit him.

We have a video of it. You can't actually see the guy get scared cause we passed him but you hear me laughing and my husband laughing and saying the guy got scared. I was going to share the video but it may just become annoying from my laughing the whole time and just the whole thing being childish. So, I decided not to cause I don't want to annoy.

Well, we'll be coming home tomorrow. I'm sure we've been having lots of fun but since I'm writing this Saturday morning before our flight, I can only imagine the fun we are having by the time you all are reading this. I know I will be sad to leave tomorrow too. Until then.....I'm gonna enjoy it while I'm still here...or there, since I'm not there yet. Um....well, you know what I mean! ;o)

Top 10 Things I Love About Vegas!

Since I'm currently soaking up the rays, spending some quality one-on-one time with my hubby here in Las Vegas, what better time to have a Vegas related post, right?! Of course I'm right!!

Okay, let's get on with this, shall we....



Top 10 Things I love about Vegas!

{Not in any particular order. That would take too long.}

1. The pretty lights at night! I love the energy it gives off!

2. The hotels. My husband and I try and stay at a new place each time. Unfortunately, we didn't this time.



3. The Shows! We're seeing Cirque du Soliel's Zumanity....again. But we hope to see Carrot top and another one also.




4. Margaritaville. My husband and I went to the one in Key West also but this one is closer for us for now. Love all things tropical!




5. Food....Food....and more Food!!! There are so many different choices of restaurants to choose from. I love food and this is a food mecca!

6. Our Wedding! Since we got married here at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, this place has a extra special meaning to us. Love! ♥

7. Shopping! Okay, seriously.....how can you go to Vegas and NOT shop?!

Yeah, kind of had too much fun at this store the last time!




8. Drinks! I don't unually drink and when I do order something, I usually can't even finish it.....nor put a dent in it that my husband will drink it so it isn't wasted. However, KNOW that I will be sipping on one of these!!! Again....love all things tropical!




9. Music! No matter where you are, you always hear music and I love that!




10. Just me and my honey....together!!

This is what we will be seeing in about 10 hours, that's if there are no delays at the airport. I can't wait!! A little bummed that we'll be there without our daughter on Father's Day but since my parent's are taking care of her, we got a camera and mic and signed my parent's up for Skype so that we can see each other and my daughter can wish her daddy a Happy Father's Day. Yah for Skype!!!!!

Five Question Friday, Etc...

Hey! So, I had all intentions of doing my Fabulous Foto Friday today. I was gonna do it here at work since the boss is out of town {doing the happy dance!!}. I even unhooked my external hard drive so that I could bring it to work but....yes, with as forgetful that I tend to be, I forgot it. :o( Oh well, I will have some pics for next week's.

Why, you ask?

VEGAS BABY!!! That's why!!!! We leave tomorrow and I am so excited! I can't believe that it was two weeks ago that I blogged this. It seriously flew by! It's just my hubby and I! We get to do this once every couple years, so it's well overdue! Some much needed quality time with my man! I. CAN'T. WAIT!!Also, with our trip coming up, I have been so busy. Hence the fact that I haven't been on here much lately. Sorry! I'll be better once I get back. Promise! Pinky swear! ;o)

1. What is your favorite thing about summertime?

Seriously? The warm sunny weather, of course!! Remember, I live in California so I thrive on these Summer days! LOVE IT! I was even born in the Summer. See? It was meant to be :0)

2. What is your ideal retirement location (if money didn't matter)?

Carmel! I love Carmel! I love the ocean, I love the quality of life. I don't love the cold though. It can tend to be chilly there but it can also be absolutely gorgeous with the sunsets. Gorgeous! I always tell my husband that if we ever win the lottery, we're buying a house in Carmel. He even likes it there too! He's got his mountains on one side and I got my ocean on the other!

3. Do you live in the same town you grew up in?

No but I do live next door to the town I grew up in. I will never move back either. It's getting so bad there. Oakland bad! Because people from Oakland are moving there and bringing the problems. True story!

4. What nervous habit did you have as a child that you kicked to the curb before becoming an adult?

Well, I wouldn't say I've kicked it to the curb completely but I wouldn't talk to anyone. I was super shy. I still am but not to the extent that I was. I've come out of my "shell" a little more.

5. What is the most embarrassing thing that happened to you while on the job?

LMAO!! Oh yes, my BFF and I laugh about this to this day but it was so embarrassing when it happened.

So, I was working at Kmart 20 yrs ago {oh geez, I just put an age on myself. Pretend you didn't hear that!}, and after we had closed, my BFF and I were sorting through all the stuff that was either returned or a customer just left where ever. We were putting the stuff in the corresponding carts to take back to their department. I apparently swung my arm back for what ever reason and accidentally nailed the manager in the groin as he walked passed behind me. Oh. Emm. Gee!! Can you just see how red my face was?! So embarrassing but we laughed as I profusely apologized. LOL!

Remember This...

There have been a few things heavy on my heart lately and I wanted to get it off my chest.

In the past week there have been a few tragedies that have happened.

One being a murder suicide that happened locally. Even though it wasn't someone I knew, it was however, the BFF of someone I knew. It made local headlines. It was a husband and a wife and they have two children, who fortunately were not home at the time.

The other being the BIL of a friend of ours. He just passed away from cancer, melanoma. He was just 40 yrs old and had a wife and 3 young children.

With these two things happening, it just makes me so sad and breaks my heart. It also puts things into prospective and makes me remember not to take life or our loved ones for granted. Life is too precious! We need to remember this. If we forget about what is important in life, when the time comes, it may be too late.

Remember to tell your family and friends you love them!

Remember to hug your child!

Remember to play with your kids more!

Remember to take lots of pictures!

Remember to smile more!

Remember to laugh more!

Remember each moment!

Remember to breathe!

Remember to slow down!

Remember to embrace life!

Remember to live life!
