My new accessory

As some of you know, I have suffered from headaches throughout my life, as well as migraines. The migraines have only been a recent thing though in the last 6 years. So, it had been over 15 years since my last eye appointment. I felt it was time to make an appointment the day I was dealing with yet another migraine. Enough is enough, right?!

When I was in junior high, I was supposed to wear reading glasses. In fact, I had a pair but I never wore them because when they sat on my nose it would give me a headache. I mean, I'm not going to wear something that's gonna cause me to be uncomfortable, something that I already have to deal with anyways. If anything, I'm gonna avoid anything and everything that causes my headaches.

As the years have gone on, the headaches have become constant. Maybe for the fact that I take Excedrin on a daily basis. However, that is something I've been working on eliminating. Then a few months back my brother, who also suffers from headaches and migraines (maybe it's just hereditary..LOL!) went in to have his eyes checked and sure enough, he needed glasses. As he was telling me about this, I thought I would do my own eye test. Covering my left eye with my hand and trying to read things, and then I tried the other eye. Sure enough, my left eye has gotten worse over the years. That basically confirmed that it was time to get my eyes checked. I'm a procrastinator though, so it took another migraine to get my butt down to the optometrist. So, the end result is my new accessory, only for reading and driving at night though. Thank goodness cause I'm not used to the new me....

Love your new glasses my friend!!

Funny thing is, yesterday I was having a lazy day, and never put on my contacts...wore my very old glasses all day..shortly after dinner, my migrain started and didn't go away until after I went to bed a number of hours later. I think we really need to stay up to date on these things!!

XOXOXO

Linda

Glasses helped my migraines. I was wondering if you started to get a headache when you were out on the Sunny hiking trail. Bright lights and glares give migraines. It helps to use sun glasses, especially when driving. Squinting in the sun also causes headaches due to the tension in the facial muscles.
