Picture Perfect Day.....My FFF!

It's that time again for Fabulous Foto Friday! I hope you all will join in. If you like taking pictures, then this is just the thing for you. Check here for the rules.

So yesterday (today, since I work on Fridays and have to schedule this) after I picked my daughter up from school and she did her homework, I thought, since it was a gorgeous day out and I'm one for loving the sun, I thought I would take her to get some frozen yogurt and head down to the marina area to take some pictures. So that is what I'm doing for this weeks FFF, my day with my daughter enjoying life's goodness!

So, without further adu.....
Here I would like to share with you in a virtual sense my AMAZING Pistachio frozen yogurt. OMG...it was just to die for, too! Each bite I took was like heaven! The picture just doesn't do it justice! :O)

Here my cutie pie was enjoying her Andies Mint frozen yogurt. Her's was good too but NOT as good as mine!

The next few photos are from the marina area near my home.

My cutie, the perfect model!

Just a quickie....

I know it's only been a couple days but it feels like I haven't blogged in awhile. Maybe it's because I've slacked off on reading everyone's blogs and leaving comment love for everyone....sorry 'bout that!!

I've just had a lot on my mind these days and then the fact that I've taken in a friend of mine's puppy for a week while her and her hubby went on vacation. That has proven to be a bigger challenge than first expected (no worries though Julie, if you're reading this.) She'll be departing our house tomorrow so I should be back on regular blogging schedule..hee hee!!

So, I just thought I could give you the run down on what's been going on this past week in our little abode:

1. This past weekend we did ABSOLUTELY nothing! And to be honest, I had to ask my hubby yesterday to remind me what the heck we did on Saturday. Quite a memorable day, huh?! lol

2. Since I have been sick, I ended up staying home on Sunday. I was hoping to make it to church but I just wasn't feeling good so I spent the whole morning laying around watching a movie and dozing in and out. We ended up taking a shower after 3pm then made our way out to grab some food and then came back home to finish up the rest of our day doing nothing.

3. As I mentioned, we have been watching a friend's puppy.

4. I went to work Mon and Wed and spent the evenings watching TV or watching movies.

5. I've also had a couple things on my mind lately. One being of course, my brother and his health. We still haven't gotten the results back yet. Then I was corresponding with a very close friend who had asked how things were going around here and so I briefly mentioned this situation with my brother and how I've just been sick over it and I haven't gotten a response back. It actually hurts my feelings and so I'm feeling pretty crappy about it right now. I'm gonna have to call her.

I'm finally starting to feel better, referring to my cold! I figured after I'm done doing this, I thought I would take advantage of the gorgeous weather outside and take my pookie-bear to get a frozen yogurt and go take some pictures for this Friday's Fabulous Foto Friday.

OMG! I just realized tomorrow is Friday!! LOL I better get on the ball with my FFF!!!

I hope you all are doing well!! Don't forget to stop by tomorrow to check out my FFF post!

Can I Please Slap Her???

You know, I've never really liked this woman. Sure, she's a critic but what gives her the right to be so judgemental?? I mean really! Look are her. For someone who is judgemental needs to first take a long, hard look in the mirror because honey, that plastic surgery you've had isn't doing you any good!

In my hubby's words this morning:

"Look at her. For someone that has spend all that money on plastic surgery, she's still ugly."
Ok babe! You tell 'em!

Joan Rivers Pictures, Images and Photos

So last night the hubby and I were watching TMZ (cause I love my hollywood gossip!!) and they started to share details from Joan and her thoughts on the inaugural day and such.

First, look at this picture and then compare it to what she said about our new Vice President's wife, Jill Biden when Jill came wearing these fantastic boots.

Joan Rivers says: "She looks like a hooker."

Whoa! What did she just say??!! She did not just call her a hooker!

Um...hello Joan, did you just see how you were dressed with your fake cleavage hanging out all unclassy like and you're going to have the nerve to call the new Vice President's wife a hooker because of her boots?! Geez...the nerve!

First worry about yourself, tiger lady Joan!

I Knew It Was Only A Matter Of Time...

Yep, my day is finally here...

My husband first was battling that stupid sinus cold. At one point, he thought he had a serious toothache so I made him a dentist appt. which then he was told he had a sinus infection. It was really his cold that was a sinus cold that was making his mouth hurt horribly.

Then it just seemed everyone around me was getting sick with this sinus cold, or just a head cold in general. My daughter and I were fortunate. I kept up with my whole "knocking on wood" bit as if that was really going to keep me from getting sick. Yeah, lets knock on a piece of wood. That'll help me from getting this cold that is spreading around me. Suuuure!

Weeks went by and my hubby started to get better and then in a matter of days it all came back along with a horrible cough. One that kept waking me up in the middle of the night. It wasn't that subtle cough either.

So here we are today. My daughter and I have now been subjected to the same ol' cold everyone else has been dealing with. I knew our time was going to run out. I'm sure it has to do with the fact that we went to the snow and played in that cold while sledding or the fact that I share the same bed with my hubby while he was hacking up a lung, or even the fact that I pushed the same cart that many other coughing, runny nose, hand to nose wiping individuals just pushed, although I make a point every time I return home to wash my hands. Even though I felt compelled to "knock on wood", it didn't help.

So let this be a lesson to all you "knocking on wood" individuals. It doesn't work!!

My FFF!

This week for FFF, I'm going to share some pictures from our trip up to Calaveras this past weekend, where there was lots of snow. If you don't know the rules and you want to join in the fun, check here.

Hosted by RockYouPhotos.com

Here is a picture of my daughter resting after getting a boo-boo. Poor thing! She was really upset here but I was able to get a good shot of her at least.

Here she is having fun sledding! My hubby went down the slope using the same donut after my cutie but before me. He should have let me go down first cause he popped it half way down. lol! I don't like to use the traditional sleds cause I hurt my tailbone everytime and I figured I could use the donut and rest my tushy in the center. At least we had a different swimming pool floaty thing so I got to use that one instead.

My hubby looking all hubby-licous on me! ;O)

Another good shot of my noodle-bear! (Yes, I have tons of nicknames for her..lol)

Our little snowman my hubby made. He was seriously like 10" big.
Awww...isn't he super cute?!! :O)

My hubby made an igloo and we made our daughter get inside and peek through the little hole. We all got in and got a picture. I just thought her's was the cutest.

My hubby being a ding-dong! I made him do this a second time so I could get this shot! He doesn't look too thrilled though. He said his head was getting wet.
Good Hubby!!

I took this shot and really liked the way it turned out so I wanted to share.

I have lots more but we'll save those for another post.

It's your turn now! If you already did yours, enter your name in Mr. Linky so everyone can stop by and see what you have to share. Thanks for joining!!!!

I Was Interviewed!!

Denise over at Laughing with Spoons participated in an interview post. I thought it would be fun cause I love to answer random questions like these. Plus, it gets you, my bloggy friends a chance to learn a little about me. So, I wanted to participate to.

So, here are my questions:

1. What is one thing about yourself that you would like to change - and why?
Well, had this question been asked a year ago, first thing would have been my weight but since I finally conquered that daunting task (after 10+ years), now I think it would have to be my self-esteem and temper. My self-esteem isn't the greatest. It has helped out losing the weight but I still worry if my hubby finds another woman more attractive than me or when we are watching a program and there are model type girls half dressed, I get all uptight and say "uh, would you please turn this. I don't want to watch this crap!" I wish I can just be relaxed in my own skin as I'm not only hurting myself but setting a poor example for my daughter which I never wanted her to feel the way I do. As for my temper, something as little as someone giving me a dirty look will put me in a rage. People on the road, lack of manners and just rude people will get me all fired up. My heart will race and the anger will really get working in me that I won't be able to let the situation go. I have even been known to be revengeful. That was more so when I was younger. I have a daughter now. Those are definitely a couple things I would LOVE to change in me. Hopefully this doesn't change your point of view in me. I am really a bubbly, silly person, just don't piss me off is all! LOL!

2. When you are needing time alone (meaning from hubby and daughter) - how do you go about getting it and what is it you enjoy doing?
Hmm, this is a good one. The only time I usually get time alone from the hubby and my daughter is on Tuesdays and Thursdays when he's at work and she's in school. Tuesdays I spend at home puttering around the house, blogging and chatting on the phone. Thursdays after I volunteer at the school, I head straight over to one of my girlfriend's house and visit. However, some much needed ME time, I would probably have to say maybe going to the movies or watching a movie at home. I love watching movies. They relax me!

3. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Well, since five years really isn't that far away, let's get technical then. In five years, *gulp*, I will be the BIG 4-0!! AWWWWW!!! Not something I'm really looking forward to either. OK, that really depresses me now that I think about it. lol! Hmm, as long as the economy doesn't take us out, we'll more and likely still be living in this same house. I can't imagine anything really changing too much though. Perhaps my hubby will be in a better situation, employment speaking. I'm not too thrilled with what he currently has to go through and I don't wish this for him until he retires either. I want him to be respected and appreciated! If he does find a better job, perhaps it will be making more money and then allow me to stay at home which then we may consider having another abby-doo-doo. I'm still not 100% decided on this. I'm whishy-washy I guess you can say.

4. When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried...and what was it about?
I actually had to think about this one and ask the hubby and my baby girl. That's when I was reminded about last week or so when we my hubby put the sock on Ozzy's head. Click here if you missed it.

5. What is the scariest thing you ever experienced?

Wow, the scariest thing I ever experience? There are a couple things really but I'll just share one. Back in 1993, my cousin was getting married. It was about an hour to an hour an a half away from where we lived. During the reception, my dad had been drinking. It was my dad, mom, brother and myself. At the end of the night when we had decided to leave, my mom told my dad she would drive that he had too much to drink. My dad was being arrogant and refused to let her drive insisting he was fine. As we left the parking space, we had to drive down this long driveway out of the country club to get to the street. Once we got to that driveway area, my dad floored it. The three of us started screaming to slow down and that he was going to fast. As we neared the street, we barely hit a car as he was making his drastic right hand turn onto the street. My mom yelled at him to stop the car. He did and got sick in the process. She drove the rest of the way. Now that I look back at that, I can't understand WHY we would of even got into that car with him knowing how drunk he was. My dad was always the heavy in the house and what he said goes and you didn't think twice to argue with him. I was scared that night. Even getting in the car but I didn't think twice to argue with him. We were given a second chance and that will never happen again!

~~~
Here's what you do if you want to play along...
If you would like me to interview you just leave a comment and I will email you the questions!
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. (I get to pick the questions). (So make sure I can email you through your blog or whatever way!)
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
Prayers needed...
I'm not sure if I've told you this but I stress. I stress way too much too. In fact, I've been told by several people that they are surprised I don't have ulcers.
Now, I know I've said how much family means to me. My family is everything to me and when I hear of any problems or illnesses, I start to stress. In fact, the one thing I do not like about myself is I always, and I mean always think the worse. I get these horrible visions in my head of going to my loved ones funeral. Morbid, right? I can't stand that about me. I took after my dad with this. I wish I could be an optimist when it comes to family. Heck, when it comes to anything else, you can call me that....Kim, The Optimist! Put family in the equation, forget it. I love my family and I'm scared to death to lose one of them. That's my greatest fear, to lose a loved one. There, I said it!
So now that you have a glimpse into my personality, you'll understand how I've been feeling the last several days.
My brother, Bobby is a smoker. He's been smoking off and on since he was 14 yrs old. He's now 37 yrs old. He also has this horrible cough from smoking. It's bad. Nothing I've ever heard from anyone else. It's not that regular smoker cough either. It's scares me everytime I hear him cough like that too. He has put on some weight too because he doesn't eat healthy. He eats a lot of fried foods & fast food. He has really bad heartburn that he's had to be put on medication. He also gets migraines (just like my mom and I). To make it worse, when he was born, he had a hole in his heart plus other complications. I love my brother but I don't see a healthy person right now. I constantly bug him to quit smoking and to eat better. I know, I know...wrong thing to do. I know I shouldn't nag him but I'm just really worried. He's my brother and again, I'm afraid to lose him.
So, a couple weeks ago the Patrick Swayze interview was on and it got my parent's worried about my brother and his smoking and eating habits. They expressed their concern to me about him as I did to them. It was brought to my brother's attention and so his wife made an appointment to see the doctor. He went in last week and had chest x-rays done. When the doctor got them back, my brother was notified that something showed up near his aorta so the doctor said he wants to do a CAT scan on him. They just needed to get clearance from his insurance to do so.
Now, after I heard this I instantly started stressing. Those horrible visions popped into my head and imagining my life without my brother. I have a hard time as it is with death when it's a close family friend or acquaintance but for it to be someone as close to me as my own sibling?! I don't know if I could handle that. Just thinking and typing about it is about to bring me to tears.
*Sigh* OK, let's move on. A little bit ago I picked my daughter up from school and then decided to go to the store to pick up dinner. My brother works at the store and he was there. When I saw him he asked if I had talked to mom and I told him earlier this morning I did. I asked why, did he have any news. He said that my mom had news from her doctor regarding him. Apparently when my mom went to see her doctor today, at the end of the visit she asked "What does it mean if there is fatty tissue near the aorta?" The doctor's response, "Ew, not good. It could be blockage." Blockage such as an aortic aneurysm. *SIGH* Here I go again, thinking the worse. I'm so scared and keep praying that everything will be just fine. Everything has to be fine!
I've also noticed a difference in my demeanor because of this stress I'm feeling and I don't like it. At one point when I was driving home from the store, I felt like I was suffocating from the stress. I'm also realizing that I don't have any patience with my daughter right now and it's just not fair to her.
So, I need to ask you guys a really big favor. If you are the praying type, would you please pray for my brother? I would so greatly appreciate it!!! I know prayer works. God always answers my prayers and I have faith in him. When we have financial stress, I pray and he answers. God is good, I know that. The only thing is, when it comes to my loved ones, I fail to be strong. I need the help and the extra prayers to get me through this.
I will keep you all updated. He goes in for his CAT scan on Monday so I'll try not to stress too much until then (yeah, right!).
My FFF!
Hosted by RockYouPhotos.com
Here it is, another Fabulous Foto Friday! The only difference is, this week I've actually conquered the task of FINALLY uploading all my pictures from my new camera. Let's all say it together now...WOO HOO!!! ;O)
First, let me start off by saying......now that I have my new camera, this is my first time ever owning a nice professional camera. I'm still learning all the different settings, formats and such. Bare with me with the pictures as I hope to improve them as I get more familiar with it. I haven't even begun to start using any software to edit the pics. I want to first get familiar with the camera then move on to the editing.
So, for the past few weeks I've spent some time goofing off trying to find some nice settings to take my pics. One particular setting I'm trying so very hard to get is a vineyard in my town during a foggy morning. Only problem......every time it's foggy out I have to either go to work or go to my daughter's school to volunteer. How convenient, right? Frustrating!!
OK, enough of the yapping, lets move onto the main reason for this post. Fair warning, I've gone all picture overload here on you guys. Hope you don't mind. I still have more but I think I can wait for other posts.
~~~

This is a picture of the downtown near the marina in my area. I thought it was beautiful out this particular night and while my hubby and daughter sat in the car, I decided to get out and stand in the middle of the street to get this. I just really like the orangy hues. So pretty!

I took this picture during dinner one night. I saw we had all these candy canes and then just the one reindeer one that my cutie made and thought it would be cute! It just needs to be centered more.

Of course, my hubby and daughter. I'm really liking the blurred out background effect. Something my Sony never would have been able to capture.
Again, just fiddling around the house with the camera. Just thought I would take a pic of a couple of our honeymoon photos. These photos are some of my favorite memories! We went to Nassau, Bahamas on a cruise.

Ok, I know what you're thinking. What the heck is my dog doing, right? He's YAWNING!!! LOL! Cute, right?! Love this picture :o)

One of the only pictures I have of my family together like this. This was Christmas day at my parent's house.

(Pictured from left to right: My mom, the noodle, my Aunt, my brother, SIL, my hubby, my dad and then my grandma.)

Again, just fiddling around my house. This is my wreath on my front door. I made that wreath about 5 years ago! I'm very proud of it too!

My little cutie on Christmas Day over my parent's house.

My cutie having tons of fun with her friend.

Here she is again on the tire swing. Just a close up.

While at the park, I was trying to get that blurred out background. I just can't wait for Spring when all the flowers are in bloom.

Playing at the park.

You just know that I always have to throw in a silly one of my dog, right?! LOL!
One day I was going through my hubby's socks. Getting rid of the old ones. So my husband had one that was torn at the leg part so he ripped it off and stuck it on our dog's head. Looks like one of those sweat bands from the 80's!!! LOL! Poor dog!

Almost done!
Lastly, this here is my husband's idea of picture taking.
Just had to give you a glimps into my husband's eyes and what delights him most. Well, besides me of course! ;O)

Alright! Now, it's your turn. I can't wait to see what you all have to share. If you don't know the rules, see them here.
