Writing Assignment: All five

I love Mama Kat's weekly prompts. Only thing, I haven't done them in a couple weeks so when I saw this week's prompts, I thought what a perfect time to jump on board again. Have you yet? If not, go check her out cause it's super, duper fun!

So anyways, here are this weeks prompts. I decided to answer all:

1.) Describe something you're proud of.(inspired via Twitter by Summer from Le Musings Of Moi)

Um, yeah....I'm a mommy so this is so obvious. I'm proud of my daughter and the fact that we just had our parent teacher conference. She's in 2nd grade (she's in a 2nd/3rd grade combo class) and is already reading past the 3rd graders in her class. She is to be ready 100 words/min by the end of the school year and she is already reading 108 words. She even answers the 3rd graders questions correctly cause none of the 3rd graders had the answer. Also, on her assessment tests, she is in the "Advance" portion of the grading! Yah for my baby girl!! I have a smart child on my hands. Now, if only she'll keep up the good work through 12th grade.

2.) Tell me your most humorous wedding experience(inspired by Bree from Breezy Butterfly Creations)

My husband and I were at a wedding in Buffalo, NY back in 1999 and during the wedding reception my husband, his cousin and I were on the dance floor. Mind you, my husband had a t-shirt under his suit which read "I don't give a F*** what you think". Well, a song came on, one that was perfect for the unveiling of this t-shirt and his cousin was chanting "Savage" (my husband's nickname) as my husband took his dress shirt off to reveal the lovely words to the wedding party, the bride and groom and their parents. Yah, they weren't too happy about that but it was hilarious!!

THEN, (yeah, it doesn't stop there) there was this one guy, Turk who was friend's with my husband's cousin. Well, we were all outside the wedding reception and Turk goes up to the window of another wedding reception that was going on and pulled his pants down, put his rear up to the window and smashed his "special area" up to the window for all the guest to see. LMAO! Yeah, they weren't happy about that either. Good times!

3.) 10 reasons why you can't sleep at night(inspired by Roxane from It Really Is All About Me)

This doesn't apply to me cause I can lay down on my bed and be out in 5 mins. Yah for sleep!!

4.) Describe an experience that you wish you could shake from your memory.

Yeah, we don't want to go here.

5.) Write a love letter to the object of your affection.

Since I try not to idol things, especially anything material, this is completely out of fun! I tried thinking of something (not someone) and I couldn't think of anything except my car.

My Dear Diamante,

You have just celebrated your 7th birthday with me. I have cherished every driving moment with you. You have been such a wonderful car to me. You have provided comfort for my sensitive tushy (fractured tailbone twice), you have taken care of me through two separate rear-ends and one back-into. I have taken care of you and treated you with love and care. Making sure the little one doesn't spill or ruin your lovely leather seats. I even reprimand her when she leans her feet with pressure on the console. Even though you have taken us on many drives, they have all been super comfy and warm. You always provide such wonderful music sounds to my ears. Unless of course my husband joins us with his music.

I know we just bought another car but don't think for a single second that I love that car more than you. Not. At. All. Unless of course it was my Camaro. Whoops, did I just say that out loud? No I didn't! Pay no attention to that.

Anyways, every time my hubby asks me which car I like best, it's always you, my dear Diamante! I make every excuse just to drive you. When it rains, I can't drive the Mustang for it is a stick shift (two slippery scares were enough for me). Now that we have the new car, I will need to give you a break. Your miles are just getting too high and I don't want to risk loosing you. I will make sure you are nice and warm in the garage during those rainy days. Do know that I won't forget about you and will take you out to play at least once a week. Just know I'm doing this cause I love you! I hope to enjoy many many, more lovely years with you!

All my love,

Your faithful owner

Congrats to your daughter--hope she can maintain a humble attitude even though she has some superior ability in reading.

I couldn't do the sleep one either--I only have two reasons for not sleeping: night sweats and my cats coming on my bed--I have to pet them!
