I'm slackin' off here

So, guess what? It's 3:47pm, Friday and guess what I just remembered?

That's right.........

Hosted by

What a nincompoop I am!
All day yesterday I would remember, then forget, then remember.
Aww....forget it! I guess I'll just count today as a "freebie". My day off, my hiatus or whatever the heck you want to call it.
I even had some really good pics to share with all of you too.
Shame on me!
Join me next week, at least! ;O)

In other news, I have decided to try and work on letting things just "roll off my back"! I'm a hot head, stupid stuff gets to me. Then you got the road rage issue. I feel if I let things roll, I will be less in control, or that people with think I'm a woos. Far from it!! I guess I just need to put those feelings aside and think of the good and that it will make me a better person which will be pleasing to God! This will be a work in progress but I plan on succeeding.

What else? Oh yeah.....
my husband and I are working together on getting a blogversation together for tomorrow. It's something I've been doing over at Summer's at Le Musings of Moi. Yes, I have to give my hubby some credit for these too. Anyways, we're still not sure what we're gonna do. We have a couple ideas. We want to get creative. My hubby keeps throwing out sports related stuff.....not gonna happen! We're mostly women on here and most of us can care less!!!!
Anyways, I've been having fun doing these each week. I just get super nervous being on camera for everyone to see. You should head on over to Summer's and participate. It's fun! It would also be fun to see everyone else and what they come up with.

Okay, I better giddy up! I'm at work and it's almost closing time for me.
Hope everyone has a fabulous evening!

Thursday, February 26, 2009 Frustration...

Oh boy, I just can't seem to make up my mind. I'm sure some of you have come by my place to visit and noticed that I keep changing my background. Something you may not know, but soon will discover about me....I get bored easily. I'll like one background one day and not more than a day or two later will I want to change it. It can be from the color to the simplicity of it. Something will just strick me wrong and it'll be the end to that one. I know what I'm looking for but I just can't find it. I like to keep with the seasons. I like pastels (i.e. pinks, purples, blues, yellows), butterflies, ladybugs, flowers, polka dots, strips. When I'm looking for these certain things, I'm not finding the combinations that I like. Or when I do, I have to pay for them which I have chosen long ago that I will NOT pay for a layout because I know how bored I get after awhile. I'll end up spending too much money. I think that I just need to learn how to create my own backgrounds.

So, what do you all think of this lucky winner I have chosen this fine day?!

Onto a different subject.....
Do you have any idea what I am dealing with the very minute as I type these words???? I have a 6 yr old in the next room over (her room) having a crying fit. About 35 minutes ago, we were painting on a taracotta pot. Putting flowers, butterflies, bumble bees and ladybugs on it. She decided that she didn't like how something of hers turned out and that's where it all began. She wanted to throw it away. I told her she obviously needed to take a break. I proceeded to clean up and told her to put the pot outside to dry. That's when she again went to put it in the garbage. Just before she did, I reminded her that if she threw it away, she will pay me for the flower pot and then go to her room. She of course retained herself. She continued the attitude and crying that I told her to go to her room and write about her behavior. She of course gave me the continual "It's just not fair".
So now, 35 minutes later she has finally calmed down. I tried to stay as calm as possible. Normally I would have been all worked up and would have just made matters worse but this time I managed to contain myself.....with just one outburst cause my nerves were running on overdrive. I had to release some tension. I think I'm allowed, right?!
Okay, off to my Weight Watcher meeting. Wish me luck!

Writer's Workshop

Mama Kat is at it again. This week I thought I would do a bit of a challenging one. One that got my creative mind working, along with my husbands too!! Head over to Mama Kat's to participate.

This week I choose:
Write a 26-line poem using all the letters of the alphabet, where the first line starts with the letter "A," the second "B," the third "C," etc., culminating with the final line starting with "Z."

I first had to think of a subject to right about and since I love vacationing and everything about it, that's what I went with. I hope you all enjoy it!

Another vacation has gone
But a new one is on our mind
Can't stop thinking where
Don't know what I'll find

Every place is enticing
Fiji sure sounds great
Gorgeous beaches and sun
Happy with my mate

Ireland is a thought
Jamaica I like better
Kissing under a palm tree
Loving the fantastic weather

Miami I have already been
Night life is always going
Ocean Drive is the scene
People and alcohol are overflowing

Quiet beaches is the way to go
Relaxing with a Mai Tai in hand
Sun beams shining on me
Tempted to move to this land

Unable to choose our next destination
Various places are one of a kind
Wishing I were still there
Xerox these moments in our mind

You and me baby
Zero to vacation in 60 seconds!

Movie Madness!

I love movies! I love to rent them and go to the theatres to see them. If you didn't already know that about me, you do now! I can watch a couple to a few movies a day if I had the time. I even have the monthly, two-out-at-a-time, membership at Hollywood Video. I prefer them over Netflix or Blockbuster cause they are right across the street from my neighborhood so when I'm done with my movies, I run on over and grab another. No need to wait!

Since it's been rainy and cold here lately, I've been renting them like crazy! At night time, I rent the PG-13 or R rated ones for the hubs and I for after the noddle goes to bed. During the day time is when we watch the G or PG movies.

So, for the past week or so I have been on a roll. Here's the list of movies I've watched:

Quarantine (watched last night)
Gran Torino
Henry Poole is here
Zack and Miri make a porno
Beethoven's Big Break
Body of Lies (watched half. Still have to finish)
Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
The Secret Life of Bees
Open Season 2
The Family that Preys
Revolutionary Road
Coraline in 3-D (just saw at the theatre Sunday)
Confessions of a Shopaholic
My Bloody Valentine's in 3-D

There are still more I want to rent and so many at the theatres that we want to go see. I'll be heading to the video store here in a bit to grab me another one. Today is Tuesday and this is when all the new movies come out!!

So, have you seen any good movies recently? I would love to add them to my "must see" list!!

Guest Blogger?

Hey everyone! What do you all think about me having a guest blogger? Like my hubby for instance? Kind of get his point of view of things?

My hubs hasn't been a fan of this whole blogger thing. He thinks I'm on the computer way too much. He has even thought about purchasing a laptop for me so that I'm in the family room visiting with the fam while I'm on the computer. Yes, I'm addicted!

He also thinks that blogging is stupid and that "we" don't have a life. Um, okay. He's welcome to his own opinion, right?! He's cool though. He is a joker at times too!

So anyways, I'm constantly threatening saying to my hubby when he says or does something off the wall that "I'm gonna blog about that!" Well, yesterday he actually showed some interest in it. That's right, I think he may be on board with us! Okay, so maybe for a once of month kind of thing. So I asked him last night if he would like to be a guest blogger on here. Maybe do it once a month or whatever. He was like "Sure." He said he'll make it all about the Shark's hockey. I hope he was joking.

Anyways, how do you all feel about this? Do any of you have any questions that you may want to ask him? I can do an interview type of thing one time and then maybe give him a topic another time. Would you guys be interested in hearing my hubby's point of view of things? Please share your thoughts on this!

And the Academy Award goes to....

Okay, so it's not an Academy Award but it is a lovely award that was bestowed upon me by my lovely bloggy friend over at {My Pretty Pink Blogette} a couple weeks ago. Sorry it took so long to post about it. I truely love it and thank you!!!!!

So, the rules for this award are, as follows:

1) Admit that ONE thing you feel awful about involving being a mom. Get it off your shoulders. Once you've written it down, you are NO LONGER allowed to feel bad. It's over with, it's in the past. Remember, you're a good mom!

2)To remind yourself that you ARE a good mom, list SEVEN things you love about your kids, you love doing with your kids, or that your kids love about you. These are the things to remind yourself of EVERY DAY that you rock!

3)Send this to FIVE other Moms of the Year that deserve forgiveness and a reminder that they, too, are the best moms they can be!!! Remember to send them a note to let them know you've selected them, and add a link to the person who nominated you!"

So, my first things first......what I feel awful about since being a mom is that I have no patience. I get mad and annoyed easily and I don't like that about myself. I also don't like playing Barbie's and my daughter likes to play them all the time. I used to love playing them but now I just don't see the fun in it anymore. I did play Littlest Pet Shops with her yesterday but I was also watching the clock too. 20 minutes went by and I was all "Okay, I'm done. I have to do the dishes." She was happy with those 20 minutes, at least.

Now for the 7 things I love about my baby girl! This should be easy!

1. I love hanging out with her. Going to lunch, shopping, to the movies or getting frozen yogurt. She is such great company!

2. I love the unconditional love she gives me. I can get mad at her and not more then a few minutes later she be all lovey dovey with me. All the hugs and kisses!!

3. I love our snuggles at night before she goes to bed. She also plays with my hair to help her!

4. I love that she is a Mama's girl!!!! She is my shadow. I was my mom's shadow and I always hoped to have one too!!

5. I love that she is a well mannered little girl. Sure, she's six and she has her moments but overall, I very proud of her!

6. I love that my baby will pick one of my parent's flowers in their yard without asking (whoops!) just to give to me. :o)

7. I love that I get to volunteer at my daughter's school each week. She enjoys me being there, as do the other kids.

Okay, and now onto 5 other Mom's who rock!!

1. Denise at Laughing with Spoons
2. Perfect Pen
3. Francesca at 3 Bay B Chicks
4. A Thorn Among Roses
5. Trina at Trina's Place to Blog

Blogversation: Discipline

Hello everyone! I'm joining Summer at Le Musings of Moi again with her blogversation. I really enjoy doing these, plus I had to this week for sure cause it's another entry to her giveaway!

So anyways, this weeks episode is about discipline and what form of it I use and for who or what. So first, head on over to Summer's if you want to participate. And now, to keep you all from waiting any further cause I know you guys are just D.Y.I.N.G. to see my video, right?! Oh, I must add that, the video is kind of dark cause we don't believe in a lot of light. No, just kidding....we just don't have a lot of lighting and it really shows in the video.

So, without further adu.....

Oh yeah, because the camera makes me nervous, I forgot to mention a couple other forms of discipline with my child. My the time I thought about it, this video was already loaded and it's 8:25pm and I just don't feel like redoing the video so I'll just listed the other stuff here.

So, I will give threats such as "you'll never get that Nintendo DS with the way your acting" or I'll send her to her room for say 10 min. and make her think about her behavior and then write about it on her notepad. Kind of reflecting on it and then how she'll change her attitude the next time we run into a similar situation. Then the spanking comes in if these don't work but the yelling is quite often cause that's just how I'm programmed :o)

Okay, so that's my form of discipline! What's yours?

It's that time again for Fabulous Foto Friday! I hope you all will join in. If you like taking pictures, then this is just the thing for you. Check here for the rules.

This week wasn't as productive as I had hoped it would have been. You see, here in California we have finally gotten some rain. In fact, the last week we were able to catch up by more than half of what the average is for this time of year, all in a matter of less than a week. Yesterday was the first day in several days we actually had no rain. And today, well....we had beautiful sunshine! So of course, I busted out my camera and was all set to go and take an outing of picture taking......until, my hubby called and said he needed me to meet him at his job. Well, crap! So much for that idea! So I made due with what I could and with what time I had left..........the good ol' backyard!

Now you all should know by now that I love to use my child as my lovely assistant! She is so cooperative......well, sometimes. I just love these pics when she isn't looking at me.

This one is special cause if you notice, her bottom left tooth is missing. She lost it on 2-12-09!! baby is growing up! NO!!! This can't be happening! May I pleeeeaaase freeze time?!! I'll take this moment...a snapshot in time! Stay just like this, baby girl!

My baby showing me a pine cone from our back yard.

My Ozzy boy giving a little stretch. Yes, I know.....he should be in his kennel. Just don't tell the vet! I had to let him out and have some sunshine while it last.

Aww, yes....a garden ornament with some lovely greenery! Oh wait, that's right, most of that greenery are weeds! Pine needles too. It almost looks like this was taken in the woods, huh?! No, I live in a regular neighborhood. I just have that stupid pine tree that we are hoping to cut down one day. Too messy and has created a tiff between us and our neighbors since we moved in. That's for another day and another post.

My cutie and Ozzy-boy! I love this one.....super cute!

They're both cooperating!

I thought this was cute.
It's my baby girl trying to touch one of the crystals from her chandelier in her bedroom.

And lastly.......the infamous alarm clock that woke me up at midnight!

Okay, now it's your turn! If you already did yours, enter your name below in Mr. Linky so everyone can stop by and see what you have to share. Thanks for joining!!!!

Writing Assignment - My Brother

Mama Kat is at it again! Go here to join her in her weekly assignments.

This week I have chosen to do....

5.) Write about something mean you did to a sibling growing up.

I'm going to put a twist on mine though. You see, I have a brother and I'm the little sister. See where this is going??? Growing up with my brother, we spent many summers together ALONE while our parents were at work. That's when the fun stopped.

First, let get MY mean thing out of the way. I was a tattle tail! Yes, ME! I told on my brother ALL THE TIME!! Oh, don't roll your eyes and give me the "tsk tsk". I had to! I had to protect myself. Now, onto the mean things that MY brother did to me to lead me to tattle tail.

On those many summers together, my brother would chase me around the house with my dad's BB gun. He would even pull the trigger and say "It's not loaded!"

Or he would chase me outside the house in the mornings while I was still in my pj's and then lock the door. Our neighbor even caught glimpse of this on several occasions.

One time he even took his handkerchief (yes, in the 80's they used those! lol) and flicked it at me only to have it cut my eyeball and I had to go to the doctor's and leave looking like a pirate.

And let's not forget the time he would wake me to Metallica blaring in the next room as my wall rumbled.

Trust me, I learned very quickly to get up when my mom was getting ready for work and then I would get ready myself as my brother lay sleeping oh so cuddly in bed. I would rush to complete my chores that by the time he was getting up, I was out the door making my way over my friends house to avoid torment. Aww...yes, the memories! I laugh about it now. I can laugh about the time he put me in the garbage can outside. What would childhood be without having your big brother tormenting you. Believe me though, he was there for me when someone tried bullying me.

My brother and I have a great relationship now! We're older and more mature. I'm just glad we can think back to all the times me had and laugh.

Something you should know when vacationing.

Something caught my eye as I was browsing my home page of the Internet. So I decided to click the link, a link that feed me more information into the world of hotels. To me, someone who loves to travel, go places and create memories, it is important at times to stay in a hotel.

I'm not naive to the possibilities of non-cleanliness that goes on in these rooms. Heck, the first time my hubby and I stayed at the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, not more than 6 months after the hotel opened it's doors to the public, were we welcomed to a room that had a soiled towel hanging from the bathroom door, a half empty glass of water on the nightstand, a beer bottle cap on the window seal and a wet wade of tissue on the floor next to the tub. I was appalled and I immediately called the front desk for a clean room too!

I have on a couple occasions watched shows similar to this article, that give you a glimpse into what goes on inside hotels. Whether it be the guest or the housekeeper. It is all too disturbing too. After watching these shows, I vow to bring my own linens but then when the time comes, I always forget.

It amazes me though, how many filthy people there are out there. I avoid walking barefoot on the carpet because people with athletes foot could have walked on there. It also worries me, as a mom who has had to deal with lice, wonders if there were kids in the room previously who may have been a carrier? Or if the sheets were even changed. On the shows I've seen, they show were they take a black light to the sheets and it shows so much to be undesired. Then I think to myself, did I sleep in the same bed on the same sheets with someone else's bodily fluids??? YUCK!

Anytime we check out of our rooms, we always make a point to clean up after ourselves. I think it says a lot about a person. I know some people that have done some really crude things just to be mean. Yes, they are usually men that does this which shows the mentality. No offense men! Just stating the truth here.

So, the next time I stay somewhere, I will TRY and remember to bring my own linens, extra pair of socks, maybe my own bleach and some Lysol to spray on the remote.

Do you have any stories to share of nightmare hotels?

Confessions of.....

I'm probably not the only one but after watching a movie such as Confessions of a Shopaholic, don't you just want to go out and SHOP??!!

I love to shop! What girl doesn't? Okay, I know a few but besides the point, I feel good when I shop. Am I the only one? When I find that perfect top or pants or even something to decorate my house with, it give me a happy feeling. A sense of accomplishment......warm fuzzies, if you will! Is that bad?

Well let's see.......Is it bad to shop? No! Is it bad to feel good when you buy something special for yourself? No! Is it bad to let it get out of hand with all sorts of debt as portrayed in the movie? Uh.....YES!

I always discuss purchases with my husband before I purchase them. I never use my credit card unless he gives the okay either. He does the bills which is fine by me!! I know some people that have actually bought cars, houses and the such without discussing it with the husband. If you ask me, that's a recipe for disaster! Marriage is built on trust, communication and love of course. I find communication for sure a key element in a marriage and if you don't have that, there isn't a marriage. Okay, how the heck did I get on the subject of marriage??!! lol That will be saved for another post.

But since we're still on the subject of shopping. My bloggy friend Diamond at My Pretty Pink Blogette had a lovely Pink Coach Purse staring at me through the window of my monitor. It was giving me the wink too. So I of course had to go see it so I went to the website for Coach. I saw their lovely Signature Stripe Collection too! My hubby saw the price and with such said the words that all women only dream to hear. They were......."That's it?!" Aw, yes! I think my hubby may be on board with this purse. And THAT will be for another post too, my friends!

Anyways.....Confessions of a Shopaholic was such a cute chick flick! That Isla Fisher is just adorable too! She kind of reminds me of my cousin. So, I took my daughter to go see this movie on Valentine's Day. I know my daughter is only 6 yrs old, I just hope we can teach her the value of money and to NOT use credit cards. They NEVER are just used for emergencies......I would know! lol

This portion of my FFF I would like to dedicate to Woopy, the puppy that I babysat that has now gone to doggy heaven!

Dinner is served....

It's been awhile since I participated with Mama Kat's weekly assignments. It's just that I either didn't have time or I really couldn't relate to the prompts. This week though I thought I would give it a go.

Here's this week's prompts:

1.) What was the first CD (or record or cassette) you ever purchased? Write about the way that particular album made you feel then. Write about how it makes you feel now.

2.) You were recently laid off. Instead of moping around, you've viewed it as a chance to start fresh. Pick a new career and write about your first day on the job.

3.) List your five most recent favorite things.

4.) I'm hungry. Share your very favorite recipe!!

Now, normally I would automatically pick #3 but I wanted to be different this time. Basically, step out of that norm, if you will. So I have decided to do #4 this week.

Okay, I wouldn't say this is my absolute favorite recipe but it is one of my favorite.

Stuffed Cabbage

What you will need:

1 head of cabbage
1 lb ground turkey or beef
2 cups rice
2 cans (15oz) tomato sauce
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
13" x 9" baking pan

Brown ground turkey or beef, add salt and pepper to taste.
Cook rice until ready. Add rice and tomato sauce to desired thickness.
Stir together. Then add 1 cup of cheese. Cook until warmed through.

While the meat and rice mixture is warming, add 1/2 head of cabbage to boiling water.
As the cabage starts to soften and wilt, start to detach and remove from the boiling water.

With the baking pan to the side, pour some tomato sauce just to thinly layer the bottom.
Start adding spoonfuls of meat and rice mixture to cabbage leaves. Use 2 leave if need be to create a oval ball. Add to the pan. Do this until mixture or cabbage is gone.
Once you are done, pour remaining tomato sauce over the stuffed cabbage. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.

Cover with tin foil loosly to avoid cheese melting to foil.
Put in oven at 375 degrees 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Now head on over to Mama Kat's and participate in her weekly assignments.

I'm Thankful For....

Denise at Laughing with Spoons is back this week with her Thankful Tuesdays.
This weeks topic is: This Past Week.

With the kind of week I had, I think I need to now sit down and think about the positives about it. I almost feel like she did this one just for me too :o)

So here go....

1. I am thankful that my friendship is okay, even though after I babysat her dog and then five days later she had to put her down. Although I am now second guessing her letter to me (I responded to it too fast because I was already feeling crappy that day and didn't take time to re-read the letter before responding).

2. I am thankful that I now know that the dog was more and likely not under my care when she ate something that wouldn't pass. That is a huge burden off my shoulders.

3. I am thankful that I have a wonderful friend that was there for me to let me vent out my anger about the things that hurt my heart yet also made me angry at the same time.

4. I am thankful that my dog is okay after I was so worried about him because one morning he was acting wounded and I knew something wasn't right. I had a feeling it was either his legs or his back. It was his back and he is now on crate rest for 4-6 weeks. I feel bad for him but I'm just happy he is still with me.

5. I am thankful that I was able to have a movie date with my husband this past Sunday. We went and saw My Bloody Valentines in 3-D. We never get time alone together and I am thankful for that.

6. I am thankful that after my daughter going over to my MIL's yesterday where my BIL lives with his fiance, that she has now realized that we are better parent's then the two of them would be. That she is happy we are her parent's and that's all that matters :o)

7. I am thankful that my hubby still has his job, even though things don't look too good, he still has it and I'm thankful for that.

8. I am thankful I still have my job. I don't like that I have to go to work (I would rather be a SAHM) but I do like my job and I feel secure with it too.

9. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to meet Don Piper, the author of 90 Minutes in Heaven this past Sunday at church. What an incredible human being and story he had to share and I am so thrilled to have shook his hand. I now want to go buy his book.

10. I am thankful for all of you that gave words of encouragement and the loving comments about my daughter and my friend's dog. For it was you guys that made me feel better and I am truly thankful for that!

So, what are you thankful for this past week?

Monday, February 9, 2009

Thank you!

I just wanted to thank all of you that sent me such warm comments about my last post. The kind words really helped me tremendously. So much so that I'm actually feeling better. Also, while I was at work and I secretly popped in to my Facebook account, I was surprised by a lovely comment from my baby girl who was being babysat by my MIL. This is what she left me:

"hi mommy. i love you. xoxoxo"

It really warmed my heart when I saw that!

Also, I am happy to report that I got an email from my friend and our friendship is fine. My hubby tends to put things in my head that makes me a bit paranoid and I tend to be a worrier. I also have trust issues with people so I can never tell when someone is being completely honest with me. I really value a friendship where there is complete and total honesty in it and she was just that.

Again, I want to thank everyone for all the kind words! Now I can put a smile on my face. :o)

Love & Hate.......and Sadness.

For the last few days I've had a lot of stuff on my mind. Things that have hurt my heart really bad this week. I'm not big on using the word "hate" loosely as it is a very strong word. However, these things I will be listing are how I currently feel.

I love it when I am able to help a friend in need out, such as watching a friend's dog.
I hate not knowing if when the dog was in my care, that she ate something that wouldn't pass and my friend had to put her dog down 5 days later. My heart hurts and it makes me deeply sad that I may loose my friendship over this.

I love it when my child tells me she loves me and gives me big hugs and kisses.
I hate it that we were told that she wishes my BIL (who acts 6yrs old yet is 27) and his fiance were her parents because they are more fun cause they play with her. My heart has never been so broken. I know she's 6 and probably doesn't know how to express her feelings that well into words but it still hurts.......BAD!

I love that my child has apologized and didn't mean to hurt us and that she does want us to be her parent's still.
I hate that it still hurts and that it probably will for awhile.

I love it when we go out to dinner and spend quality time together.
I hate it when parents in the restaurant don't watch their children and let them run amuck.

I love it that we have a nice meal at that restaurant and finish eating before the hate part......
I hate it when one of the children that was running amuck ends up throwing up right next to our table.

Do you have any Love & Hate situations in your life right now?

I'll show you mine, if you show me yours!

Here's something different! Summer over at Le Musings of Moi started a blogversation where you post a video of yourself showing everyone what is in your purse. Cute, right?! I wanted to participate cause I thought how cool would it be for all of you to see me and my personality. Basically get to know me a little more rather than it all be through writing, right?!

So anywho, I'm terrible with this sort of thing. It basically took a bunch of tries before we (I had my daughter participate) got it right. BWT, watch my daughter at the beginning....she's such a ham! Oh, and also notice Mr. Sharks bobble-head in the bottom right hand corner, courtesy of my hubby. He wanted to put his stamp on the video cause I made him leave so I wouldn't get all nervous.

Hope you enjoy!

So, what's in your purse?! Do you dare share??!!

It's that time again for Fabulous Foto Friday! I hope you all will join in. If you like taking pictures, then this is just the thing for you. Check here for the rules.

Since I just got home from the Sharks game and it's 11:49pm and I have to get up in 7 hours for work (yes, I require lots and lots of sleep in order to function and 7 hours just doesn't cut it!!) and because I'm extremely tired right now, I'm going to make this a quickie.

This picture I just love. Both my hubby and daughter were laying on our bed and I thought this was too cute with the two of them looking the same. My two favorite people!!!

Need I say more??!! My hubby being silly by making smoochies at our daughter and she had absolutely no idea he was doing this until I snapped the picture and busted up laughing. Priceless!!

Okay, that's it for this week. Time for me to go to bed. I'm tuckered out.
Okay, now it's your turn! If you already did yours, enter your name below in Mr. Linky so everyone can stop by and see what you have to share. Thanks for joining!!!!

Fabulous Foto Friday!

Hosted by

Welcome everyone!! It's that time again for Fabulous Foto Friday! If you weren't here last week, that's alright! My philosophy is "the more the merrier"!! So, I would love for you to join in :o)

So, here are the rules:

1. Post a special picture that you took during the week. If you have more than one that you want to post, that would be great also. It can be any kind of picture (i.e. funny, silly, weird, artsy, fun, whatever).

2. Write about what the picture is about and what it means to you.

3. Come back later and sign your name on Mr. Linky to share so we all can make our way to your blog and see your wonderful picture(s).

4. Be sure to comment on the person above you. If you want to comment on more than one person, I'd love that and I'm sure they would too! The more comments, the better :o)

I look forward to seeing what everyone has come up with to share!!

A Typical Work Day ~ Part 1

So, I got this idea from The Wife O Riley and her hubby Matt. I thought what a fun idea this would be. Since I work part time, I would share a typical work day and then on my day off, share that as well. So, since I went to work today, that is what I will share with you today.

The day started out this morning at 7:12am cause I just couldn't managed to drag my butt out of bed today. I normally get up at 7:03am but I guess my body said "wait for the next buzz".

I did my regular morning stuff such as taking a shower, got the little one ready for school, made breakfast and all this while trying to get myself ready for work. I ended up out the door later than anticipated, worried I would be late for work cause what else is new with me.

I forgot to take a picture as soon as I got into my car. I remembered just as I was at the light coming out of my neighborhood. Yes, it's was 8:27am. I was to be at work at 9am. My drive usually takes me, depending on traffic, minimun 40 min. Good thing I like to drive the new 70mph (80mph!) Maybe, just maybe, I'll be on time today!

Fortunately for me, traffic was on my side today! Wheee....I love when it's like this! Here in California, this is so not the norm. You'll see what I mean later.

Alright, 25 minutes later I exit the freeway to make my way to my job. You can see the cluster of buildings that I work at in the middle left of the picture out in the distance.
Yep, there's the cluster of building much closer now.
Finally I make it to the parking garage to hide out for the majority of the day.

Oh, and I have to report, I was 1 minute early!!

And this would be my desk. The place I sat for the next 7 1/2 hours doing tax and accounting stuff.
Finally, I got off work. A tad bit later than usual. Normally I get out of there at 4:30 but not today.

Driving to go pick up the little one, I sit in traffic. Now THIS is the norm. And because I have to learn the tricks of the trade, I'm in the turning lane to bypass all this traffic just to hop back on, ahead by 5 minutes!

Here I make my stop to pick up my cutie pie, where I spend the next hour or so.

Here we are for a quick photo op before I head home.
Finally we make it home. It's a bit dark but that's how it was outside and that was the best I could do as I was pulling up. I forgot to take a picture of the time I got home but it was about 6:35pm.

So, there you have it....My Typical Work Day! Now I'm just relaxing, waiting for my hubby to get home while the little one is in bed. Oh, he's home! I hear the garage door open. I'll go for now.

Stay tuned for "A Typical Day Off ~ Part 2".
