I'm probably not the only one but after watching a movie such as Confessions of a Shopaholic, don't you just want to go out and SHOP??!!
I love to shop! What girl doesn't? Okay, I know a few but besides the point, I feel good when I shop. Am I the only one? When I find that perfect top or pants or even something to decorate my house with, it give me a happy feeling. A sense of accomplishment......warm fuzzies, if you will! Is that bad?
Well let's see.......Is it bad to shop? No! Is it bad to feel good when you buy something special for yourself? No! Is it bad to let it get out of hand with all sorts of debt as portrayed in the movie? Uh.....YES!
I always discuss purchases with my husband before I purchase them. I never use my credit card unless he gives the okay either. He does the bills which is fine by me!! I know some people that have actually bought cars, houses and the such without discussing it with the husband. If you ask me, that's a recipe for disaster! Marriage is built on trust, communication and love of course. I find communication for sure a key element in a marriage and if you don't have that, there isn't a marriage. Okay, how the heck did I get on the subject of marriage??!! lol That will be saved for another post.
But since we're still on the subject of shopping. My bloggy friend Diamond at My Pretty Pink Blogette had a lovely Pink Coach Purse staring at me through the window of my monitor. It was giving me the wink too. So I of course had to go see it so I went to the website for Coach. I saw their lovely Signature Stripe Collection too! My hubby saw the price and with such delight.....lol......he said the words that all women only dream to hear. They were......."That's it?!" Aw, yes! I think my hubby may be on board with this purse. And THAT will be for another post too, my friends!
Anyways.....Confessions of a Shopaholic was such a cute chick flick! That Isla Fisher is just adorable too! She kind of reminds me of my cousin. So, I took my daughter to go see this movie on Valentine's Day. I know my daughter is only 6 yrs old, I just hope we can teach her the value of money and to NOT use credit cards. They NEVER are just used for emergencies......I would know! lol

The previews for the movie are so funny, especially when she says,"You speak Prada." So funny!

It looks like such a cute movie! Is that the same actress from "Wedding Crashers"? I agree with you on discussing purchases with your other half. It's only right. Marriage is a partnership. Hubby told me to treat myself to something, because I'm always spending money on the home or kids. So, we'll see *lol*.
Okay I read two of the books and kind of went...?? I couldn't read any more of them.. but if you say so I think I could be willing to watch the movie!
Matt and I took Emerson (9) to see it last Friday and we all loved it! I did make me want to shop too. LOL!!
If you haven't, you should read the books. It goes much more into the debt then the movie where you actually have a pit in your stomach and wonder what she's going to do.
