Six Word Saturday!

Hosted by Photobucket.com

Hope It's A Good Turn Out!

Today is the local Arts & Crafts Fair that my SIL signed me up to sell some of my pictures. It makes me feel good that she has this confidence in my photos and I'm excited about this but at the same time, extremely nervous. I've never down anything like this. If it wasn't for her registering me on her own, I probably wouldn't be doing this. I know, just need to be forced out of my comfort zone.

I'm just concerned about a couple things though. It's at the local hospital and I have searched the city website and stuff and didn't find any type of advertising on this fair. So, how the heck is the word getting out about this? My husband checked with his sister and I guess it was in the paper and around the hospital. I just hope that's enough.

Then, because we seem to be spending an awful lot of money on other things going on lately, my husband didn't want to spend too much money on "stuff" for my booth. For instance, I hope I have enough tables. My SIL was gonna check on that for me today. I have a vision and I hope I can display that vision. Also, I need tablecloths and I honestly think they should be white but I don't have white so will another color work? A color I actually have here at my house?

I just hope it's a good turn out and I can at least make the money back that I spent into getting this prepared.

We'll see.......and so will you cause I'm bringing my camera so you can bet I'll share the details later. Wish me luck!

~~~
Now it's your turn. Head on over to Cate's and see what's going on in other's neck of the woods.
Best of luck on your show! You could ask to borrow the white table cloths from friends maybe? I agree about the white. If not white, then black would be the next best thing. What you don't want is a colour that will distract people or detract from your work.
Depending on how much you want to spend and what your vision is Goodwill might be the place to go for table cloths. I use sheets lol. I figure I get them for maybe a dollar a piece and after I'm done using them as "table cloths" I can use them for picnics or scraps for quilts (yeah like I have time to ever do that....lol) or I can just donate them back again. GOOD LUCK!
I'm wondering how things went. I'll be looking forward to hearing what you have to tell us about it. Good for you for "stepping out" of your comfort zone. Anyone that ever does anything has to take that scarey first step. Good for you!!
BTW, thanks so much for stopping by my daughter's Blog yesterday and encouraging her. *smooch*
I hope all went well - usually if it is a annual event word of mouth is a pretty good way to get it out there - but it helps to see some ads too.
